Students and parents show support at charter rally
September 24 was a big day for charter schools in Chicago. More than 4,000 supporters turned up to advocate for the charter movement at the Charter Schools Day of Action rally. The rally was organized by New Schools for Chicago and the Illinois Network of Charter Schools, two groups demanding more charter school options for students.
More than 200 Perspectives students, parents, teachers and staff came out in force to represent PCS and call on city leaders to break down the barriers that jeopardize the future of our children's education.
