Alumni Resources and Updates
Our alumni network of more than 420 students is growing fast! With each year, we see more graduates leaving our halls and making their way to college and beyond. In May 2010, the Perspectives Leadership Academy (formerly Calumet High School) and Perspectives High School of Technology graduated their first seniors. In May of 2012, we anticipate the graduation of the first class at Perspectives/IIT Math & Science Academy. We look forward to bringing you news of their future successes!

At Perspectives, our College for Certain environment builds confidence, character, problem-solving skills and intellectual inquiry, preparing students for the challenges of higher education, the workplace, and life. Our College for Certain initiative also includes a commitment to support students not only as they attend college, but finish with a degree.
Tony Seiden, Director of College Counseling, is also our "College Dad," serving as a resource and link between high school and college. Many of our students are the first in their families to pursue a college degree and may need additional resources, guidance and advice about how to cope with the challenges of living away from home, making new friends, and establishing good study habits.
All of Perspectives' college counselors are dedicated to helping students adjust and thrive in their new environment.

Stories From Our Graduates
Angel Heard, Perspectives Rodney D. Joslin Campus Class of 2009
Angel completed her first year of a four-year scholarship to the Art Institute of Chicago in June 2010.
She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree with an interest in painting. Asked to reflect back on her first year in college, she says, "It was a crazy year. It was a lot of new experiences for me. It was fun and exciting to be on my own and pursuing something that I have a passion for."
She felt that Perspectives' A Disciplined Life© principles helped prepare her for college. When asked to give advice to recent graduates, she said, "It requires more than being smart to be successful in college. You have to have determination to help yourself and others. Using A Disciplined Life© principles was crucial in my success this year."
