Perspectives depends on funding from Chicago Public Schools and on contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations to fully fund our A Disciplined Life education model.
Perspectives has been serving and educating Chicago's students since 1997. Our five schools currently serve nearly 2,300 students.
To continue to fund our growth and to allow us to continue to offer extended day programming including sports and enrichment classes, and maintain our commitment to providing a high quality education to our students, we rely on your support.
From the beginning, Perspectives has built a strong network of strategic and financial supporters in the public and private sectors. Our local partners include Ernst & Young LLP and Mayer Brown LLP and funders such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, NewSchools Venture Fund, Crown Family Philanthropies and Renaissance Schools Fund. Their support helped us open our three-school Calumet campus in 2006. Our newest school, the Perspectives/IIT Math & Science Academy, opened in 2008 with support from academic partner Illinois Institute of Technology and corporate partner Motorola. At the community level, we work side by side with the Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation, LISC/Chicago and numerous agencies, community action groups and our elected officials. Over the years, we have also earned the support of many individual donors who invest in our efforts to provide a better urban education for Chicago's youth.
Get involved to help change urban education by supporting Perspectives with a donation, as a mentor, or by becoming a school partner. To tour our schools and to discuss our work in detail, please contact External Affairs.
