Welcome to Perspectives Middle Academy

Located in the former Calumet High School building at 8131 South May Street in the Auburn Gresham community, Perspectives Middle Academy is one of three schools that Perspectives Charter Schools opened in this building in 2005. We are a College for Certain middle school where our curriculum is aligned to the College Readiness Standards, and our students participate in college tours at least once a year. Scholarship and A Disciplined Life© guide our future.

We are an Elev8 school and the only charter school in the city with a full-service health center in our building. As a result of the Elev8 grant from the Atlantic Philanthropies and our partnership with LISC, the Greater Auburn-Gresham Development Corporation, and ACCESS Healthcare, Perspectives Middle Academy offers medical care through an onsite, full service health center. Additional school partners include The Mikva Challenge, the University of Chicago’s Urban Education Institute, St. Sabina’s Center for Working Families, Calm Classroom/Luster Learning Institute, and the Field Museum of Natural History.
