Welcome to Perspectives Charter Schools

Perspectives operates 5 open enrollment public schools serving 2,300 students in grades 6-12 in the communities of Auburn Gresham, Grand Boulevard and the South Loop. Committed to providing access to top quality public school education in Chicago's under-served communities, our goal is to ensure that all Perspectives students graduate from our schools prepared to succeed in college, and in life. Despite the fact that many of our students come to Perspectives well below their grade level, last year 97 percent of our graduates were accepted to college!

To cultivate this level of success we teach a rigorous college prep curriculum in a safe, secure environment. We involve parents in their children's education with regularly scheduled mandatory conferences and participation in school events. We provide extended-day learning by offering numerous after school classes, clubs and participation in a variety of sports teams. Our commitment to student achievement extends to our provision of an intensive college counseling program.

Unique to Perspectives Charter Schools is character education that is embodied in our principles of A Disciplined Life© (ADL). These 26 principles guide student behavior and performance, helping them to develop life-changing skills such as self-discipline, perseverance, integrity and responsibility. Read about Perspectives' ADL model in The Design and Implementation of an Effective Character Education Program, authored by major donor NewSchools Venture Fund.
